Zero-shot and one-shot testing against 29 public NLP benchmarks in natural language processing (NLG) and natural language understanding (NLU) has shown that GLaM prevails over GPT-3. Yet, this means the model doesn’t use its capacity to the fullest it usually activates around 97B of parameters during inference. Depending on the input data, a gating network picks the most relevant experts (normally, two for each word or its part).
